This should have been my post for Saturday – yesterday – but with just getting out of the hospital and all that, well…it just didn’t happen.
It suddenly dawned on me that there is too much to celebrate, however, so I thought I would do a special Sunday Celebration Post!
You see…
July 10th was six (6) months from the launching date of 4Walls and a View. That in and of itself is quite amazing. But the stats on my blog are mind-blowing to me.
For instance, 4Walls and a View has welcomed 11, 700 visitors! In addition, readers of 4Walls and A View have read a total of 23, 600 pages! You guys are good!
In January (only 20 days) 4Walls and A View had 776 visitors. In February, 1,704 visitors; March, 1,537 visitors; April, 1, 486 visitors; May, 2, 348 visitors; June 2,162 visitors, and in July thus far, 620 visitors and counting! Amazing!
As of today, you all have left 1, 920 comments! Ha Ha! Busy you all are!
I have now written 128 posts!
The most active post to date is, “60 things I HOLD to be TRUE”
The busiest day here was Wednesday, May 12th will a total of 291 visitors!
Lastly, 4Walls and A View is averaging 97 loyal readers a day plus an additional 30 who are signed up by email for a total of 127 loyal readers a day with the month of May seeing a 25% increase in readership! Who would have thought all of this was possible in six (6) months. I mean really?!
But that isn’t all. Out of this blog, things have been birthed that I would have never dreamed of! First, I was interviewed. Out of that interview came the special Bumper Edition that focused solely on CFIDS and 6 of our own bloggers! How cool is that!
If that wasn’t enough, I was offered my own column in Life Skills Magazine, appropriately called, Dominique’s Corner, which will contain the theme that the magazine is geared to every month while still focused on raising awareness and encouraging those with CFIDS.
Amazingly, it doesn’t end there. After reading tons of blogs, I was inspired with an idea to enable each and every person who is living with CFIDS to have the opportunity to share their own personal story, while at the same time, being able to get involved with raising awareness by tweeting “one story at a time.”
Invisible Awareness is built and just awaiting the final touches and a coordinated launch date!
If you had told me six (6) months ago that starting a blog about my journey of living with CFIDS and FMS, would have opened all of the above doors, I would have laughed. As a matter of fact, I think I did chuckle when my friend and backup administrator told me he thought it would take ‘off like a jet.’
I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to read my blog. It warms my heart more than you can ever know.
In this little neck of the woods, I now have a place where I can go and hang out with people who understand without my saying one word. Now that is cool.
It has been an absolute joy and my deepest pleasure to meet each and every one of you. I can’t wait to see what ‘we’ accomplish in the next sic (6) months!
Note: If you catch a grammar or spelling mistake, please feel free to let me know. Since the chemical incident, I am having a lot of difficulty with the actually typing of my posts. I just can’t seem to get it the pen to paper.
Determined to continue forward,
