"The Eagle Has Crashed"

Book Review: The Eagle Has Crashed by Ted Lacksonen

I recently had a friend ask me to read his new book, The Eagle Has Crashed, and I quickly said yes!  Ted has been someone who has been helping me to think outside the box when it comes to the plight of America and politics in general.  I respect his opinion deeply and was excited and honored to...

Dreams Become Reality One Choice at a Time

Time is quickly winding down and I find myself faced with only two more days before I will be heading to the airport to head to Massachusetts for my daughter’s wedding!  Thus today was quite a busy day!

I had a friend from church ask for my help in purchasing a new laptop and the budget was $400.  So off we went to Tulsa and we ended up getting a new printer, laptop, plenty of ink, a laptop bag, and broad band access for…

$430!

You read that right!  It was amazing!  I was praying like crazy because all the sales had ended and I had told her I could find one for that price!  Yikes!  My big mouth gets me into sticky situations sometimes.  Thankfully, all the details were worked out in the end and my friend got one heck of a deal!

I didn’t make out too bad either as I was treated to a wonderful Italian lunch and a new piece of awesome luggage!  Needless to say, I was completely and utterly exhausted when I got home and ended up taking a good nap!

In addition, I also got my column finished in the nick of time.  This one is for all of you and is titled, Needing our Friends and Family’s T.O.U.C.H.  It will be in the September issue of Life Skill Magazine.  I hope you all like it!  :-)

The icing on the cake, however, was an email I received while out helping my friend with the laptop purchase.

IT’S OFFICIAL!  I GOT THE APARTMENT!  Can anyone say

PARTY OVER HERE!   he he  :-)

I was so excited and moved I started crying!  I don’t know.  Things feel like they are changing  and changing for the better.

I read this inscription on a bracelet I was looking at while out at a store the other day,

Dreams become a Reality One Choice at a Time

It really hit me when I read it.  So much so that I typed it into my Blackberry and added it to my blog.

This whole journey can really be summed up by that one statement.  Everyday, everything I do boils down to making one choice at a time in order to move forward.  Some days it takes a lot of determination, and on other days like today, I seem to glide forward.

Either way, I think this is going to become the motto of my life, if you will.  My dreams will become a reality if I just remember it is about making ONE choice at a time!  Love that!

Determined to continue forward,

I’m so happy you got the apartment and am praying that you have a smooth trip and that the wedding is absolutely fantastic!

Did you get my message through your contact form about books for review? If you’re too busy to think about it now, it can wait until you’re home and settled. I just wanted to see if I could help you fill your bookshelves in your new home.

Renee – The laptop was for a friend – not for me. My bad if I didn’t make that clear. Yes, feeling better is always good!
